About Us

Who We Are

At Hudson Gymnastics, our goal is to introduce young gymnasts to the world of gymnastics in a fun and exciting way. Our staff has over a decade of experience working with young students, so whether you're one of our Baby Gymnasts, or our Big Gymnasts, each week you will be challenged with learning new skills and improving technique.

Meet The Team

Rawnna Hudson

Owner

Hello, I have been teaching recreation gymnastics classes for nearly a decade, but have been tumbling myself since the age of 4. I enjoy teaching Gymnastics because I get to watch and encourage students to grow with each class. Not only with their gymnastics skills, but also their patience, motivation, courage, and social skills. Being a gymnastics instructor, I get to see all these develop first hand.

If I can help a student try something new or improve on a skill each week, I feel I have succeeded as an instructor.

I have a lot of experience working with the youth from newborns through high schoolers. Some of my previous professions are:

  • Lead Gymnastics Instructor
  • Classroom Aide for San Lorenzo Unified School District
  • Color guard instructor for the YMCA and Castro Valley High School

I look forward to meeting you soon!

Tawnya Hudson

Head Instructor

Hi! I'm Tawnya, and I've had the privilege of coaching children's gymnastics for over 12 years. My coaching journey began with H.A.R.D. Recreation Gymnastics before taking me to Flips USA Gymnastics in Sparks, Nevada, then Thrive Gymnastics in Paso Robles, California. For the past two years, I've been proud to call Hudson Gymnastics my home.

One of my favorite parts of my role at Hudson is helping create lesson plans and dreaming up fun, creative activities that bring our monthly themes to life. I love finding new ways to make every class exciting while helping each gymnast build confidence, learn new skills, and make lasting friendships. Watching children grow, not just as gymnasts, but as kind, courageous, and confident individuals, is what makes this job so rewarding.

Along the way, I've also worked as a lead preschool teacher in Reno, Nevada, where I discovered just how much I love helping young children learn through encouragement, patience, and play. In addition to coaching, I currently work as a Client Service Representative (CSR) at a local animal hospital, where I enjoy supporting families and caring for the people who love their pets.

Above all, I'm a mom to an amazing little boy who is the absolute light of my life. Becoming a parent has given me an even greater appreciation for creating a safe, positive, and welcoming environment where every child feels supported, encouraged, and excited to learn. I'm grateful to be part of each gymnast's journey and look forward to celebrating every milestone, big and small, along the way!
